Andrew Mould started in the oil industry and at just 17 in 1970 with his father and started Production Lubricants a Century Oil distributor reping one day delivering the next. In 1975 became a Total lubricants distributor sale and delivery for Total to their branded distributor.

Andrew soon became interested in the fuels market and in 1981 Severn Fuels was started with a £26000 credit line for UK Petroleum and a ford disemis tanker JBL1873L bought for £1000 - with the engine knocking Andrew soon got to work getting a new engine fitted.

At that time they were based at Severn Bridge Industrial Estate in Caldicot so he looked out the window and decided to call it Severn Fuels. After 4 months we were running 4 tankers and a distributor for Elf for 5 years. Going on from there we became a distributor for Texaco and then went on to go own branded.

He built the business to over 80 million litre of fuel and 2.8million litre of lubricants with the help of a good, dedicated team of staff and drivers which he remains greatly in debt to.

Andrew decided to sell the business to GB Oils in 2011. He worked and managed South Wales for over a year and could not settle in to the GB Oils way of life and so left and had a year out. In that time he felt that there was a great need for a family oil company.

He has started a new oil company, Estuary Oils, which will be based in Caldicot serving South Wales and the Forest of Dean based on competitive service, quality products and hard work, supplying domestic, agricultural and industrial fuel. and roll fuel from mini tanker to artic.

They are the Texaco lubricants distributor for South Wales and offer a full range plus a full own brand. Andrew and his family have branched out into the hydraulic fluid market, purchasing GT Hydraulics in Caerphilly and merging them with Newport Fluid Power taking an interest in the business to through market is something he really wanted to get into.

Estuary Oils will be run by Andrew, David and Sophie and an enthusiastic team. David from 16 started in the warehouse and moved into tanker driving at 18 and Sophie in the sales department at Severn Fuels. They have put together a good team, of people and believe that they can move the company forward with hard work and team effort.
